FS- Chris Miller , Baylor, TE- Tyler Mabry , Maryland, DT- Cedrick Lattimore , Iowa, Until we develop a pass rush that will cause opposing teams to be forced to scheme to defend it we will never be able to consistently take the final step.
The interior rush needs improvement. The OLine clearly still needs work. ET end of claiming waived players, and commencement of PS assignment.
Look for the NFL schedule expected to be announced May 9th. Saved for future needs. Looking at the roster with all the FA removed there are three areas of the team that look to be areas of significant need.
The DLine depth is almost critically weak. I could see the team moving on from Britt as a cap move, and letting KJ wright go as well.
There are a few others as well. I do think the team will try to keep some of the DE depth but the interior OLIne is critically depleted. This will be an interesting offseason personnel wise as the team has some cap flexibility again and could be players in FA.
There is no reason other than the terms of the deal negotiated for Clowney not to be kept. Don't forget to pin this. Talent can get you to the playoffs.
It takes character to win when you get there. Thanks for that, I missed doing that but had to deal with some family stuff, and was catching it for being on the computer too long.
Looks like another attentive mod pinned it for me. Quick look at the roster shows some pretty obvious areas where depth needs to be either retained or acquired.
Looks like priorities will be DLine and OLine. To me it also seems clear there will need to be some others areas of needed acquisition like WR and CB.
I'm showing 5 restricted free agents. The one guy I don't know what's going on with is Nick Bellore. If you'll recall he was cut and then re-signed at the end of camp.
OTC is still showing him under his 2 year contract. I asked Jason but didn't hear back. Jaron Brown was the same deal and he's a UFA so I kind of think Bellore is the same deal but just something to look out for as we get closer to free agency.
Nick at OTC right now is predicting 3 compensatory picks instead of 4. Official list should be out in a few weeks.
I took the OTC salary cap figures and made a few adjustments: -- First, i added the "proven performance esclator" to the 4th year of the rookie contracts for Chris Carson, Tedrick Thompson and Shaquill Griffin.
I also assumed EFA tenders for all the guys on the list at their current minimum salary. There are a couple of other possible "cap casualties" but i think we can all agree Dickson will not be back at his same salary if at all.
Right now that's just a hypothetical figure as lots can change and the league-wide cap hasn't been made official yet.
We'll also have to account for draft picks at some point. That's still a lot of opportunity to beef up the roster.
The others are UFAs except for Bellore who has another year on his deal to go, the team renewed the contract they had with him after he was cut and then returned.
I just don't know that the team will return all of the ERFAs but is they do the team has 56 players under contract prior to FA and the draft.
They always seem to be able to get quantity of players but presently with the obvious DLine and OLine issues quality will come with some expense.
I think you are more right than OTC is about the real available cap number but we need to have a consistent source and OTC is usually pretty dependable.
With the available money to spend and the potential cap cuts and limited areas needing improvement the roster will potentially be beefed up. I find OTC more reliable than Spotrac.
I use a combination of OTC and Rostermon to gather data. Branden Jackson didn't accrue his first year with Oakland for the same reason. He is an RFA.
OK, I'll adjust those those. Presently I'm having secure connectivity problems with OTC. Wilson has been incredibly healthy during his NFL career, and Carroll is hoping this continues with No.
Carroll is sure to have plenty of volunteers to play quarterback if there was an outbreak at the position, but the Seahawks coach identified Dallas and Hollister as the players with previous experience.

For an inside linebacker was not used extensively in coverage as he was most often blitzing or spying in the backfield.
When asked to drop, lacked awareness and depth to get in the throwing lane. Occasionally gets out of position running around a block trying to go back door.
He relies on instincts and quickness to make plays but is not as effective when squared up on a block. Needs to develop consistent hand use to shed blocks inline.
Has the ability to start inside in the NFL but there are questions about his skill and aptitude in coverage.
Has the speed and athletic ability so a team may believe he can be an every-down player. At this point he is a two down prospect who will have to develop in coverage.
