Verified Purchase. I like Arctic Blast, as it shows what could happen, and it shows how the country and the world is not ready for any kind of disturber.

The movie itself is quiet good acting was ok! As described. This is a Standard disaster formula story with the standard disaster formula characters and the obligatory premise introduction.

As a disaster movie fan with quite a collection especially weather related ones, have to say it isn't the worst I have ever seen but also not the best.

One person found this helpful. I thought this was quite a good film even though some seem to think it is rubbish. If you have seen The Day After Tomorrow, this film is a little similar.

I watched it last night and thought it was quite good. But if you buy it, watch it and then make your own mind up. The Type 1 Diabetic scene may be right or wrong.

I am Type 2 and take tablets and not Insulin. The producers should maybe have given a bit more thinking into how a Diabetic person is.

Other than that, a good film in my opinion. As Andrea55 puts it "have to say it isn't the worst I have ever seen but also not the best. What I did appreciate was the way the film was able to convey the scale of the disaster - usually these types of films are centred in one place but Arctic Blast takes us from Australia to England, Tokyo, Moscow etc, albeit in a limited capacity.

And the bulk of the film was set in beautiful and historic Hobart which is somewhere you don't get to see much on screen.

Another daft science and mild terror, threat film.
